Spreading solar lighting across Africa and lighting up millions of households is a dream we can achieve. SolarAid and SunnyMoney are leading the way.
Dr. Jeremy Leggett Founder & Chairman of SolarAid
In 2008, SolarAid created the social enterprise SunnyMoney to run operations in Africa. SunnyMoney uses an innovative distribution model to sell solar lights in rural off-grid communities dependent on costly, toxic kerosene for lighting. By building a sustainable market for solar products, SolarAid and SunnyMoney aim to completely eradicate the kerosene lamp from Africa.
SolarAid owns and raises philanthropic funding for SunnyMoney's expansion. SolarAid is also a leader in driving policy and advocacy for off-grid lighting and solar technology advancements internationally.
If you or your organization is interested in funding SunnyMoney or partnering with SolarAid by donating a percentage of your profits towards the eradication of the kerosene lamp visit https://www.solar-aid.org/donate or email firstname.lastname@example.org
